Go in search of the best fabric to print for your clothing sewing project. Clothing fabric is used to make clothes (top, pants, dress, skirt, etc.). It is generally light, and more or less flexible or stiff depending on its properties. Thus, not all clothing fabrics are recommended for all types of clothing.
Satin is a fabric often used for making scarves, kimonos or light dresses. Microfiber is a stretchy fabric ideal for making a dress or a skirt. Chiffon is a sheer, lightweight fabric perfect for floaty blouses or dresses. Lycra is ideal for making a gym leotard or dance outfit. The caban is a thick fabric used for warm jackets. Finally, velvet is ideal for a skirt, shorts or a winter or mid-season jacket.
